YOUR DAY AT BOONE HEART

It Starts with a Conversation

You'll arrive in our office at 9:00am. Once you complete a medical questionnaire, you’ll meet, one-on-one, with our Program Coordinator to discuss all of your health details, goals and concerns.

9:00

In the Lab

Testing begins with blood and urine samples, used to conduct your first tests. Once this first step is complete, you will be provided with your choice of beverages and snacks, to break your fast.

Enter the Imaging Room

Here, you will undergo non-invasive ultrasound scans that give us detailed knowledge of your heart, arteries, and other
vital internal organs.

Tests include: C-IMT, EKG, Echocardiogram, Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm Screening, Ankle Brachial Index

Stress Testing

Next, you'll be put to the test under stress in a series of blood-pressure tests, used to identify your response to high intensity mental and physical activities. Our patented Mental Office Stress Testing is designed to simulate your body’s response to stress, the time when it is most vulnerable.

Tests include:  Blood Pressure with MOST Protocol, Exercise Stress Test

Complimentary Lunch

We can't have you hungry! The lunch you choose, from the menus of a selection of restaurants, will be served around noon.

12:00

Protecting the Aging Brain

The WAVi brain scan utilizes a cutting-edge EEG helmet to measure your brain waves, quantifying your brain’s power, speed, and reaction time. In keeping with our total health approach, optimizing cardiovascular health also shows increased brain function.

Real Time with Your Doctor

We finish every Executive Physical with a one-on-one consultation with your doctor to go over our findings, answer your questions and create a detailed plan for a year of improving health.

2:00

At the End of the Day

When you leave our office, you'll do so with a full report on your health, samples, lists of therapies and any prescriptions.

Your Boone Heart Executive Physical is the first and most important step on your road to optimal health.

Your Day at Boone Heart is Just That

An electrocardiogram (EKG) uses multiple wired patches placed on the chest to measure the heart’s electrical activity, heart rate and rhythm. It also assesses any damage to the heart muscle.

A 20-minute ultrasound of the heart muscle and valves that determines the thickness, compliance, and size of the heart chambers, and assesses the anatomy of the heart and its valves.

Impedance Cardiography

The ICG measures the mechanical function of the heart, providing us with information about your heart’s ability to deliver blood to the rest of your body, the force your heart has to pump against with each heartbeat, and the amount of fluid in your chest.
